The question of every sufferer. Psalm 13, among many places in the Bible, legitimizes the wrestling. Part of our relationship with God is to express our doubts, pain, and longing. Underneath it all is the hope that we will be with Christ who makes everything new.

How long, oh Lord will you forget me?
Can't take much more, it feels unrelenting
I'm longing for an end to this wrestling
As I pin my hopes on you
Lord begin, make all things new
Oh, how long
How long?

How hard the blows, see all the bruising
I'm moving slow, seems like I'm losing
I'm waiting for the time of your choosing
When you come, a thief in the night
To steal away the dark and make right
What feels so wrong
How long?

I'm ready, Lord
When will I be with you?
I'm ready, Lord

I'm ready, Lord
Is your kingdom breaking through?
I'm ready, Lord

I will watch and pray
I can wait just one more day
Oh, make me strong
How long?
Make me strong
How long?
