Peter begins his explanation of what exactly happened as the Holy Spirit descended at Pentecost. He uses Joel’s prophecy to do it and in the process reveals the simultaneous inclusive (all kinds of people) and exclusive (no other name) nature of the gospel of Jesus, as well as the earth shattering events of his heavenly kingdom come to earth.
